About us

Cablestop was created in 2014 for multiple purposes.

First, to help you organise all your cables on your desk. No more sliding cable falling behind the desk!

Second, we wanted to demonstrate that a product can be designed for good. We call this, design for the triple bottom line: people, planet, profit.

Cablestop is also aligned with the circular economy: it's durable, have a few parts only and made with two materials that can be used over and over again.

Cablestop was designed in Australia (Coburg, Victoria to be precise), and is made in Europe (Portugal, to be precise again). Why Portugal? Because we care a lot about sustainability. We could probably lower the price and make more money by manufacturing Cablestop elsewhere, but we wouldn’t feel very good about it. Unlike the cheaper places, our Portugal facility has demonstrated a commitment to sustainability and recycling. It raises the costs, but then it should. It’s worth it.
